Guided Snowmobile Tours in Washington State

If you dream of riding through a winter wonderland in Washington’s Cascade mountains or want to trying snowmobiling before you invest in the equipment, treat yourself to a guided snowmobile tour or, if you have some experience, rent a snowmobile and explore on your own.

Snowmobile Winthrop

Snowmobile Winthrop, in North Central Washington offers half and full-day rentals on single or tandem 2023 Ski-Doo Expedition Snowmobiles. Don’t have equipment? Don’t worry! They can provide you with everything you need, not just the snowmobile by suites, gloves and helmets. Snowmobile Winthrop offers both self-guided and guided tours. When you take a tour, you will benefit from your guide’s 26+ years and can have peace of mind knowing that they have avalanche, first responder, and CPR training. Want something different? Consider a guided night ride or, for the really adventurous, rent a snowmobile with ski and snowboard mounts and use the snowmobile to access backcountry skiing in the high Cascades. Snowmobile Winthrop will meet you at the Goat Creek, Eightmile, or Boulder Creek Sno-Parks above the charming Old West–style town of Winthrop.

After your day in the mountains, stop off at Three Fingered Jack’s for good beer, great food, and a game of pool or darts. Want to try skiing, snowshoeing, or fat tire biking? Spend another day in the Methow Valley and explore the Methow Community Trails’ Nordic and snowshoe trails, or, if the conditions are right, go fat tire biking at Pearrygin Lake State Park, the largest fat tire bike trail system in Washington State. If you don’t have your own equipment, you can rent fat tire bikes, skis, or snowshoes from Methow Cycle and Sport.

MotorToys Rental & Tours: Cle Elum

For a snowmobile adventure closer to the Seattle area, take a tour or rent a snowmobile from MotorToys Rental and Tours in Cle Elum. Their two-hour morning tour and one-hour afternoon tour are kid- and beginner-friendly. Tours start at the shop, right off I-90 exit 85, where you will get your equipment. If you want to go out on your own, rent a snowmobile or tracked UTV. The morning tour and some afternoon tours include a shuttle to the trailhead. Half day rentals pick up their equipment at the trailhead (after signing in at the shop). At the end of the day, stop off in the charming historic town of Roslyn for a drink and a meal at one of the many charming restaurants, including Roslyn Cafe, that was featured in Northern Exposure.
